I am not finished with Texas! I got so many wonderful pictures on our trip to San Antonio. This one was taken at the Mi Tierra Cafe and only shows a portion of the wall that is painted with all these wonderful faces. I don't know who any of them are, maybe customer, maybe people in government or history...but they are wonderful. See how the people having dinner just fit right in? I love it!
P.S. I knew you would grace us with some fun photos when you got back from your vacation. Sue & I were discussing missing you one day, and wondered how many pictures you had taken so far!
Aw thanks for recognizing my "work". Sounds like you take pictures like I do on vacation...............lots!! Bet you got some cute dog pictures ( you were missing Jake.....that's what it was!)
Great picture, what a fun place to eat, I could sit and stare at the faces and see if I recognize any of them. Can't wait to see more of your Texas pictures.
RE: trees, yes it is sad to have to cut them. It has taken me a few years to finally accept it, but this tree was very dead and if a storm came, it would have fallen and maybe hurt someone. I don't think it would have reached my house. When Ike (hurricane) visit us, it was very hard to digest all the damage fallen trees made to our neighbour's houses. We were very lucky but not everyone was. Thank you for your comment.
This is so neat I did not notice the people at the bottom either :) I just LOVE San Antonio. I am from there and have lots of family there. I am actually going to be visiting pretty soon myself! hehe.
oh my gosh, I didn't even notice the customers until I read the blurb!
My daughter was in San Antonio last year and found it a wonder place and very colorful!
What a really wonderful picture this is! If you hadn't pointed it our, I wouldn't have realized how the diners blended into the mural! I just looked through your photos, and I can only imagine how many more wonderful sights there were to photograph! You certainly brought us the flavor of the city...well done!
And re: my pic of the Lunenburg Academy, it's fun to show it to someone who's been there. I know what you mean about the photo you took...this was just a "lucky" time of year to have all those day lilies in place! I don't usually fuss around with color editing, but couldn't help myself when I realized the "primary school" was all there in "red, blue and yellow"! (Not sure if everyone "got" that...)
