Cooking Dinner

I did my day differently yesterday. I worked from home! It was wonderful and also not an easy thing to do. I really need to be at the office to do my job completely but it had been a really hard week so I just decided to have a light day!

Kirby asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner but since I was home I decided to do something else different - like cook dinner. I love cooking and just seem to never have the time or energy to do it justice. I made one of my favorite chicken curry dishes that uses fresh tomatoes and fresh basil which I had in the garden. So, just before we dished up I took a picture of my mess. It wasn't all that interesting so I changed it with some fun processing! I think it is much better this way!

Can you find all the spoons and forks? Like hidden things in a picture :)
Very cool - nice work!

That's how my kitchen looks when my husband cooks...and I do the cleaning up. today he made a big pot of soup- stock from the bones, meat, vegetable and a filler a few small macaroni's..lots of fresh herbs and spices and viola soup for at least 14 container full for freezing.

I like how you edited this. A good example of taking what we have around us and making it into something of interest.

What fun to visit your kitchen...was this also for Slava's "Show us your house!" thread? No doubt I'll have some photos taken around my kitchen tomorrow, too. I don't believe I'm to be involved much in fixing breakfast. I was told by Ava that she likes fixing this meal (and is sorry when her dad gets up before she's ready to bring her folks breakfast in bed!) I haven't had an 11 y-o at the helm in the kitchen in nearly 30 years, so this will be interesting! You wouldn't believe what a mature young lady she is...now we'll see if she can cook, too!
