I love taking pictures through the windshield of the road ahead of us. This was taken in Arizona on the way to Lake Powell which will be our next stop.
Hey, thanks for the follow. We've been in the San Diego area since 1970. Moved down from the Corona area, But I was born and raised on Whittier, and my husband also grew up there. Moved to Escondido 12 years ago -- I had to get out of a two story home we'd lived in in San Diego for 33 years........Before I even saw the area this photo was taken, I said "Virgin River" Highway. That is the most beautiful area. We read where, when it was built, it was the most expensive section of highway ever built in the US.
@aglennc How fun! I lived in La Habra during the 70's. Most recently we lived in Scripps Ranch. My son and family are in Santa Luz so I do visit every so often even if the traffic does make me crazy!
@stownsend Oh my! Yes, John and I both graduated from Whittier High School. My first year of college I went to Whittier College too... then transferred elsewhere. You'll have to give me a call (or email -- it's on my profile page) sometime when you're over this way.... And yes, we know about the traffic... Our daughter lives in Redondo Beach. We absolutely hate driving up there because it's on the 5!! Traffic no matter what time of day or night.
Driving roads like these I rather be the passenger to take lots and lots of pictures. winding roads make you wonder what is around the bend. have camera ready. the more I see of Arizona, the more I would like to spend some time there. fav. for this awesome picture, Suzie.,
