Cactus

Such dangerous things, cactus are. When I am walking Katie and she ventures a bit too close, I yell, Stickers! She has no idea what that means but she is beginning to jump away when I say it. I sure don't want her getting those spines stuck in her - they are quite painful.

Dangerous but beautiful. I have always loved cacti and it must be wonderful to live somewhere where you could have a desert garden. I have to make do with pots on a windowsill indoors ☹️.

Continuing on what I just wrote... I worked for a vet there, and there were a couple of times my task was to pull thorns from a dog that tango'd too close...dreadful mess!
