Since we live in the desert and we seldom have freezing weather, we always plant some tomatoes in the fall. They did great and are loaded with small green tomatoes but they just sat there for the longest time as the weather was extremely cold and cloudy this year. Finally it is warming up a bit and the tomatoes are beautiful. But - they taste like they have been in cold storage for a couple of months with not much flavor and a strange thick texture. It is kind of sad to have so many tomatoes and have them not be very good. Maybe in a few weeks they will sweeten up.
Nicely captured! Unfortunately, according to the forecast it's not looking too promising too soon - but nature seems to have a way of making up for that!
