We have the strangest neighborhood. It was originally planned as mostly a winter escape for retirees. In the 60's and 70's retired people came and purchased property to put their winter trailers on.
Fast forward a few years and those people get too old and sickly to return to their beloved winter homes. They miss a few winters and then they pass away. No family comes to check on the lot and the trailer. It still remains as it did that year they left knowing with an false sense of security that they would return.
Slowly the new younger generation of retirees are buying the property and cleaning it up. This one hasn't seen that happen yet.
What a storyteller- nicely done - thanks for the follow so following back. I used to live in Az - now in OK. My sister lives down the road & we too have never lived near one another since leaving our childhood home - pretty awesome
Very sad situation, but one day it will hopefully get cleaned up and made presentable. I know what it feels like. unfortunately the house next to us is now owned by a junk collector and you can imaging what his backyard looks like.
