I think the water and the sky are difficult to work with. You have both in this picture. I could go either way on the saturation or shading because the content is great!
Such a good demo. Hard to decide which I prefer. Certainly the top one is more dramatic but I'm thinking the lower one is more realistic. On the other hand, if either one was shown by itself, I'm sure I'd accept it without question.
I love the color in the first version! I feel like the light is so much more dramatic, and the color of the water is just stunning!
You're too sweet! I just saw your comment wondering where I was. We were home for the weekend, and I took the chance to get away from the computer for a bit. Our boat is being launched tomorrow (YAY!), but we'll have to wait until next weekend to get out and enjoy her since she's up in MA. I have to admit, though... as nice as it was to spend some time at home catching up with friends and taking care of things around the house, I missed my 365 friends this weekend!
