In 2006 we traveled back east, bought a sailboat and headed off to Nova Scotia. I have way too many favorite photos of our trip that year but this is one of my favorite, looking out the stern of our boat at the evening sky and other boats mooring in the harbor.
I am joining Andy (@amfrumbiddivurd) in posting a picture a day until Christmas from my old files.
This from Andy - The next 10 Days+ up to xmas eve I am going to add an old digital photo I took from past years.
I started 10th Dec with my best pic from 2000, then my best from 2001 etc.
Bear in mind the quality will be less and I took a lot less photos back then as they took 2mins per photo to download to my pc for a 1MP image!! But they upload quicker here!
If you want to join in tag your photos 2000-14.
This is such a lovely shot! Quiet and calming! Nova Scotia - we loved!! We'd head back there and to Newfoundland in an instant. John and I, with our two dogs, drove back to the Maritime and Atlantic Provinces five years ago. We were in our RV and really feel like we saw a LOT in the three months we were in those provinces. Our favorites, at least mine --- Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
Do you follow Louis and Ken (@weezilou) ? This shot reminds me of them and our visit with them at their winter home in Lunenburg, NS in 2010. They showed us around Mahone Bay. As I said, I'd go back there in a moment's notice.
@aglennc How wonderful to find someone else who has been to NS! We met locals while on our boat and spent a year traveling together to the Bahamas and back. They are our best ever friends and we don't get to see them very often as it is so far. We have only visited them once - without our boat. I would go back in a heartbeat also. Yes, I have been following Louise since I first got here - about the same time you visited them. I love her pictures of the area.
@stownsend Louise lives about two hours from us when they are in CA., and we have been on several photo shoots with her and husband Ken, and several others from the San Diego area. Great fun.... Actually, our daughter introduced Louise to us before we went to NS. Linda did 365 for three years (got me started!), and lives not far from Louise and Ken. Guess she did a photo shoot with her. When daughter found out we were going to be in Lunenburg, she introduced Louis and me via internet!!!
