Fairy Tale House

This is one of my favorite Lunenburg pictures. I was walking to the grocery store one day and just happened upon this little "Boat Builder" house surrounded by beautiful flowers. I don't know who kept it up as it wasn't a "real" home. But it was perfect and I have been in love with it ever since.
Awww it does look very sweet. Such a fairy tale house.

Well...here are the details! It's in the garden area of Cindy and Adam Dial's house. They're amongst the first couples we met here in Lunenburg as they were the owners of the Mariner King, and we stayed there 11 nights while house hunting! Later they sold the B&B and are fixing up the house next door to this. This house is built from the original plans of the boat house that once stood here, or quite nearby, maybe closer to the water! It's now a long-term seasonal rental. You probably noticed, Cindy keeps a beautiful garden all around there as well!

By-the-by, those two are am amazingly talented, creative and hard-working couple. So many in Lunenburg are!

Thank you, Louise for giving us the story of the little Boat Builder House. I had no idea anyone would ever occupy it. I want to stay there!! I wonder if it is as cute inside as it is on the outside. Please than Cindy and Adam for such a lovely place!

Sunday: While out, we saw Cindy in the garden, so pulled in for a quick chat! She said that any time you're back in town, please drop by and she'd show you the cottage. FYI, I told her I'd leave the email for the cottage... info@BoatbuildersCottage.com Also, I sent her the link to this page, so you've delivered the message yourself! (She and Adam are selling Lunenburg real estate now...always-hardworking young couple!

Louise! Did you go look at the website? That little cottage is scrumptious! I want to stay there. I love the way it is decorated - so perfect for a cozy vacation! It is hard to believe that is what is behind those windows! It had to be a labor of love! Maybe I should send them my picture of their cottage - I think it is better than the ones they have on the website. Thanks much,Louise!!
