While we were anchored in Mahone Bay there was a hurricane warning - hard to believe there could be a hurricane warning in Nova Scotia but there was. So we went looking for a hidie hole to sit out the storm. We saw a small cove on the chart and carefully worked our way in - not certain of the depth or holding ground. We found ourselves a good looking spot and dropped our anchor. It turned out to be one of the smartest things we ever did! No, not because of the storm that really never materialized but because we met Ron and Helen who have a home there along with a sailboat that was moored right next to us. Ron let us come to his camp on the shore and fill our water jugs. We struck up a friendship with him and his wife and it is still going today. What a gift! Not only was Mader's Cove one of the most beautiful places we ever have anchored....it had the nicest people!
The folks up here must just be born a little kinder and gentler... I have the feeling you are easy friends to get to know as well. How lovely you found a lasting friendship up here! Beautiful picture...you have such a wonderful vantage point!
