Oh man, I dunno how you could go from a D3 to a D7000! I was interested in a D7000 as a backup body, but after handling one at B&H it just felt weird in my hands, almost too plasticy. I'm hoping Nikon releases some new prosumer stuff by next summer when I'm looking to upgrade.
@hmgphotos - There's two reasons for the downgrade. #1, We've got a baby coming this month and I want video. #2, there was a good chance of new DSLRs being announced september 24th, and I wanted to sell the D3 before the value took a real hit with the announcement of a D4 and D800. But now I'm not sure if Nikon will announce a D4 or D800 on Wednesday. They've got new coolpix cameras and a new mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that they will announce wednesday. But I've got some cash in the bank, so when the D800 comes out I will likely pick it up.
