Carrie Underwood performed at an IBM conference that I attended. It was one of the strangest concerts I've ever seen. I got to bring in my DSLR, and I was able to get up to the front for decent shooting.
I started my photo-a-day project on September 6th, 2004 on livejournal, transferred it here around 2011. All photos were taken on the day they're posted...
@soxfansara - Thanks. Since it was at an IBM conference the place was full of computer geeks and IT management, most of them weren't big Carrie Underwood fans and just went because it was free. She tried to get people to sing along to one of her more popular songs, but most people didn't know the words. She also brought the mic up to someone in the front row, but she didn't know the words either.
It was also weird how easily I was able to get to the front, and how no one was pushing at all, and I actually had quite a bit of space around me. Much different than the Rage Against the Machine concert I went to back in the day.
@sudweeks, This is a really neat shot, love the clarity and colours. It looks like it could be a promo shot for her. Anyway, we are get pushed partners this week and I guess I will need to look through your work and see what I can offer to challeng you. Just saw this shot when I clicked on your name and wanted to let you know I think it is great.
