I had some nice peony bloom shots earlier that got displaced by dragon flies and such, so I'll slip this one in before they're gone for good this year. The rain drops have displaced the ants! lol
Many, many thanks for your very kind comments and fav's on recent pics. The poppy shot seems to have had a couple of lives so far. It was one of those shots where I initially thought that it looked too flimsy and pale to catch anyone's interest.
I'm very much enjoying getting to know so many new friends. I have a new little game I play where I scroll the home page and glance at the pics, speculating who posted each one. I'm getting pretty good at it! lol
Ooooh, I love the rain on this, and how you can still see the delicacy of the petals under the weight of the raindrops. I'm still waiting for our peonies to bloom! They are close.
It is nice to see a lovely shot of a flower when it it isn't standing at attention. You really get the sense of our weather. I thought we would wash away this afternoon!
It poured here today too.. I love peonies.. this is a lovely shot of a delicate pink one.. I used to think that the ants were bad .. but a kind woman told me that they are necessary for the peonies size and growth because they secrete something the peony needs.. I learn something new every day!
Love the raindrops on peonies! Perfect in every way...and your game just tickles me. I'm going to try that too. It's interesting how people have a favorite theme or style. To me, that's what elevates photographs to art. My night was unusual, so let me know if you guessed correctly.
