I bought some pansies for the planters on the deck railing in the very early spring when there was still frost at night and they thrived over the next few months to the point of becoming overgrown so a couple of weeks ago, I started all over again with a new batch of them. They'll survive light frost no problem which means I'll be enjoying these lovely blooms for about 8 months running! I've tried to take pics of them over the years and for me at least, they're not very photogenic compared to daylilies, phlox, etc.
