There are still some mums blooming in the garden, and a monkshood bud that is so late, it might not open this year. There are also a few stray flowers here and there, like the hardy geranium in yesterday's pic, some phlox, and some sedum. This single mum is my favourite bloom this time of year. The petals are a bit more vibrant than those in the doubles.
I love this photo. The colorful flower against the black background is just spectacular. Is this a low key photo or did you do this in an editing program? It's a very cool effect.
