Redpoll Says Hello

I originally id'd the bird on the left as a chipping sparrow but as Lynn notes below, it's a redpoll. That makes much more sense as the chipping sparrows should be much further south by now. These redpolls arrived a couple of weeks ago and will be here for the winter. I find the two birds quite similar but the chipping sparrow has a black eye band that is more distinguished than this.

She's very pretty...but Anne...I think it is more likely a lovely little female Redpoll! The little chippers aren't so red on the head.
