Last solo redpoll for a bit. Whole day of rain today, non-stop. Some snowmen and angel Christmas cookies made. Cardinal didn't re-appear after his early breakfast [Dec 4]. Fingers crossed for visit tomorrow.
Anne, these are all lovely - I admit to being confused about the chipping sparrow because I was really jealous that our sparrows don't have that lovely red cap!
So cute! Don't worry - now that the Cardinals have discovered your "cafe" they'll be back! Ours are quite shy and only come around when no other birds are nearby. I can usually hear them before I see them. A male and a female. They take turns feeding or bathing - as one uses the facilities, the other keeps watch, peeping the entire time.
