Another line-up shot of the Evening Grosbeaks to remind us of how many were actually visiting this time of year. The railings on both sides of the deck are pretty much "shoulder to shoulder" at the height of their feeding time each day. This was a bitter cold day and these smart birds chose the sunny section of the railing. A sight like this isn't unusual this year apparently, in our neck of the woods but two years ago, when they visited like this, it was quite an oddity and on several occasions we had strangers/birdwatchers drop by for a peek.

Oh I had a flock of these come into our yard several years ago, haven't seen any since, guess they all went to your place. Don't you just love their colors, cool capture.
