The Big Picture

Just about any frame that you snap between 9 am and noon, anywhere near our back deck, looks something like this. Lots of birds waiting for a turn at the Railing Café. In this pic, an evening grosbeak front and centre with numerous redpolls in the background ....

Many thanks for dropping by.
You are so fortunate to have so many birds at your "Railing Cafe". Are any of them comfortable enough to eat out of your hand?

So wonderful. I would want a window open all the time to hear the chatter. I had my first (there were probably more) red winged crossbill in my yard today...unfortunately the only way I knew was that she ran into my bathroom window and didn't survive! Her colours were gorgeous, I was very sad.

Splendid capture! Like the tree branches makes a holding area for the birds!

Nice contextual shot. It must be fun to see them every day.We cannot reach our feeder with the deep snow this week, so I have been throwing peanut buttered bits of toast out the window. The squirrels are happy.....

Anne, did you ever take a count on the number of species you have photographed? You do have quite the collection.
