Butterfly Magnet

This Asclepias curassavica, with lots of common names involving red, butterflies, milkweed, etc. is growing in a butterfly garden at our granddaughter's school. Her two year old sister goes out of her way to walk through the garden as often as she can --- but it's the crunchy stone pathway rather than the lovely flowers that get her attention.
Very pretty. I've seen these in the courtyard where my mother is and notice the butterflies are really attracted to them but can never get a decent shot.

So nice to see that there is still food out there for the pollinators. They need to prepare for winter soon!
Very pretty tiny flowers. Your iPhone takes awesome shots.

What a pretty capture. I like the way the buds look pink, while the opened flowers look orange and yellow.

What a beautiful flower. Am trying to find the names of things that attract the birds and butterflies for next year!
