Still Here by sunnygreenwood

Still Here

Just a little hummer pic to show at least one is still here. I've only seen one at a time for the past few days and I haven't seen a male in a week or so.

I'm not sure what is at the end of her beak. Hopefully, it's just fluff and not a growth.

Many thanks for dropping by.
ours are getting fat right now. still have 4 flitting around at least..

Fabulous close up. She is so cute! How do you tell the difference between a male and female hummer? They are so tiny.

@tesssa @cimes1 thanks for your comments! much appreciated. ruby throated hummingbirds [the only kind we see here in ontario] migrate to south america each fall. the males have a red patch on their throats, hence the name.

@sunnygreenwood Thank you, Anne! These are the only ones we have here in Florida, too.....Ruby Throated. They probably pass by here on their way to South America. I need to put some liquid in my hummingbird feeder soon! I can barely see them when I do ;-)

Very nice capture of the pretty hummingbird. I guess they are starting to move on for the winter.

So fluffy and adorable. I hope her beak bump doesn't cause her any trouble when feeding.
