Fall Survivor

Time is running out for flower pics for this year so I"ll throw in another while I can. This is an anemone that's growing at a local coffee house. It is at least a meter tall. The day after I took this pic, I saw an all white one and a dark pink one in a friend's garden. I may have to find one of these plants for myself next spring!

That`s a Japanese anemone. They are so pretty; there are tons of them still blooming here in Toronto. Their delicate appearance belies their hardiness. I understand they can be considered invasive in some situations, hard to control once you have them. This is a gorgeous closeup and a fav for me!

After writing that I went out and toured my meagre gardens and found a bunch of flowers...so I took photos and when I have time (maybe tomorrow) I will make a collage of them! Thanks for reminding me to look in my own yard!!
