Cozumel Coral by sunnygreenwood

Cozumel Coral

On our day in Cozumel, we set out on our own, finding a nice taxi driver who spent about 4 hours showing us around the island. The far side of the island away from the big hotels and ship docks has some nice beaches with a lot of these coral outcrops. Although there are some restaurants there for the tourists, apparently no one actually lives on this side of the island. The "buildings" [open, thatched roof for the most part, from what we saw] often have to be rebuilt after a storm.

That's Barry out there! Lots of stops, so many photo ops on this day, making up for a relaxing day at sea yesterday.
Oh how refreshing. Hope you are enjoying your trip Anne.

This was one of the stops on our honeymoon cruise in 1988 and we saw the ruins & did a LOT of walking. Beautiful capture of the rock formations and sky!

I really like this: the rocks, the light on the surf, the tunnel through the farther outcrop, and the figure--it all works well together--fav for me!

Such a super shot - love the composition - the rocks against those tones of blue work nicely. And Barry definitely gives a size reference.
