This is the upper left portion of a quilt, one of many works of art that we saw at a quilt show a few days ago. These quilts are the kind that don't see a bed very often, rather are on display or packed away for the next trunk show. The show we saw was by E. Petrie, a guest at our recent service club meeting. Quilting has come a long way since the days of old shirts and dresses!
At first sight in the thumbnail, I thought it was autumn leaves floating in a pond! How spectacular this is, and I, too, share your passion for quilt shows as they're now really works of art! Thank you for the follow, and I'm delighted we should run into one another! Your name and face are familiar (not surprisingly, I suppose) as you've been around here a long while as well! I enjoy photos, too, that are a diary of sorts and of sights that inspire us!
