Right beside the Wenchang Tower [previous pic] is a pretty little pavilion almost out of the frame at the end of the bridge. The water is Kunming Lake, a man-made lake dating back to the 1200's. The palaces are on the hill off in the distance mostly out of sight behind the willow trees.
