Trumpeter Swans by sunnygreenwood

Trumpeter Swans

Not a great shot from a photography point of view but one to remember seeing 3 trumpeter swans snoozing on the edge of the ice on a nearby lake. It's considered to be an unexpected bird sighting around here. I've seen trumpeter swans once before [two years ago] and once since [2 weeks ago] but it was an hour or so south of here. The person who told me these guys were here got close up pics earlier in the day so we were able to confirm they are trumpeters and not tundras. Many thanks for dropping by.
Nice capture of these swans. It sure looks cold-- they were smart to tuck in their beaks.

A fine "for the record" shot. We have quite a few of these in Michigan now, and they are very exciting birds. Glad you were able to rule out Tundra.

What a neat shot to come across - not just finding the 3, but having them in identical poses close enough to capture the whole scene.
