We see up to 40 - 50 evening grosbeaks on the deck railings at one time these days, with others waiting in the trees for their turn. They're still not comfortable with us tho and fly off if we move around too much.
Oh so delightful - can't imagine how many pounds of seed they can go through in a day. My husband said I have seen one the year we had a lot of snow (about 15 years ago). They showed up at our old house. Love your rail café!
