Bonus Shot

No pic for today so I'll post a pic from a few days ago when I was on the hunt for sandhill cranes. When I found this cool bird, the sandhill cranes were flying towards me off in the distance, but I didn't know it at the time. I got a couple of shots of this rough-legged hawk before it took off and then a couple of shots of the sandhill cranes flying over, all in a span of about 30 seconds!

You did well to take a shot of this beauty before you concentrated on the sandhill cranes. I think it is more difficult to find one like him than the sandhill cranes. Besides you have taken a marvellous shot of him especially of the eye concentrating on your presence there. Fav.
