A couple of American Goldfinches showed up for lunch. According to the Cornell birding site, "Goldfinches are among the strictest vegetarians in the bird world, selecting an entirely vegetable diet and only inadvertently swallowing an occasional insect."
Well, I must say I had never heard how strict they are--fascinating! Such wonderful little birds; like Milanie we have the masses visiting these days and I love it!
