I´d have wanted to work with some natural light today but, as in real life, in a world of photography too, you can´t always get what you want and you have to work with what you have, hence the flashlight.
@nanderson Thank you so much Nancy, it´s a marble photographed with macro lens. I kind of like those dots of light too and I tried this with b&w at first but somehow felt that sepia fits better to this shot.
Off-camera flash ? Can't figure out how there are so many reflections of the flash :) But I love the effect! The composition is really tight, but I like it. It's not ordinary and it is clearly intentional, so it makes a point.
BTW, what editing software you use ?
@janim Thank you Jani, no off-camera flash. I guess it´s just a reflection and angle thing, I got lucky or something, I was curious about them myself too... I don´t have anything fancy, just this PaitNet, which I downloaded for free from internet, I´m pretty new to this whole editing thing too, to be honest I don´t know what I´m doing most of the times ;)
@susale You can do a bit more advanced stuff with Paint.net, so it's a good program to learn. I use GIMP, which is also free & basically has all the possible features you can ever think of. For quick tone tweaks and textures, try http://pixlr.com/o-matic/ ... it's fun and super easy to use. The texture of my train shot is from Pixlr-o-matic, for example.
@happysnap Thank you so much Linda
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Thank you Arefin, at first I hated that I had to use flashlight but now I kind of like those dots of light
@demmie Thank you Dem, I like the reflection too
@realrown365 Thank you Roneil
@eu4ria1 Thank you so much Ria, yes those lights seem to give something to this shot
@ness50 Thank you Vanessa, I did try my best to do so:)
BTW, what editing software you use ?
