You make the background like a window frosted with crystals and it brings more dimension to your basket and somehow the flowers are waxy thick with color:)
@susale Sure I can :) Sometimes you don't need to show the subject in detail, just some "hints" of it. The viewer's imagination fills in the details, allowing him/her become a part of the image creation and the experience can be more satisfying that way. Check out Beachradish's photos for good examples http://365project.org/still_beachradish/365/2013-02-04 ... Her shots almost never focusing on a lot of details, she just set the stage for the viewer. Out of focus shooting and intentional blurring by using camera movement are some of the techniques she uses a lot. Cool stuff :)
@joyce2013 Thank you Joyce, I´m very much into blurry backgrounds now, should perhaps shoot something different for a change
@janim Thank you Jani, I see now what you mean and I thank you for the idea, will have to try it out but not making any promises; I will most definitely try it and practice but only if I get something decent out of it, I´ll post it here. After viewing beachradish´s album I´m feeling a bit sceptical about that ;) Mut hei mitä tahansa ideoita sulle tulee, tai ajatuksia siitä, mitä sun mielestä mun pitäis treenata ym, niin aina otan niitä mielelläni vastaan ja kyllä mä niitä aina kokeilen & pohdiskelen, vaikka niitä tuloksia ei aina täällä foorumilla julkaistakaan.
@sturnus Thank you Carol, yes artificial indeed. They are little faded by the sunlight but there´s still some colors left.
@smellychelli Thank you Michelle, I haven´t thought about it like that but so it does
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Thank you so much Arefin for your such a nice comment. More like these coming up then :)
@sansjuan Thank you Nita, I love bokeh myself too, so I´m always happy when I get it in to my pics
@eu4ria1 Thank you Ria for such great comment, that sounds so poetic, "window frosted with crystals", I like that
@tristansmum Thank you Stephanie, I was going for colors so I´m happy they look rich to you
@nanderson Thank you Nancy, really glad you like this.
@fishy Thank you Andrew, it´s amazing how much blurriness can add to a pic

@ch1ppy_m1nton Thank you Chippy, I´m pretty much in love with this big aperture and shallow dept of field, I´m beginnin to think I overuse it :D
