Hi there everyone, I have missed you all so I decided to say hello. I try slowly to find my way back to photography and to this community again.

I am very anxious to hear how have you all been doing. I have been very busy, the new job is demanding and I still have a lot to learn but I enjoy working in that enviroment and facing the new challenges. The only thing wrong with my new work place is that the people are obsessed about cakes and cookies. All they talk about is who will bring the next cake or something like. I hate that. I used to work alone and I had my own "kitchen" to have my lunch etc, so I usually ate my lunch alone, if I didn´t go eat in the cafeteria. So I never had cakes or cookies to tempt me. Now every single day there´s some kind of goodies on the kitchen table and three times a day I have to resist them. Hate that cos I am not strong when it comes to resisting chocolate ;-)

I also have been very busy with my volunteer work. I have been overworked with the cases to be honest but I just haven´t had the heart to turn any of the offered cases down. Unfortenately every new case means client meetings and client meetings means nights spent at my volunteer work office after work. I have been spending two to three nights every week doing volunteer work. Not much time for anything else as you might imagine. It´s pretty crazy actually cos I don´t get paid for that. Of course I don´t do it for the money but cos of the good cause but still no use to burn the cande on both ends I suppose -it´s not like I can save the whole world by myself;)

Anyway I haven´t really been taking any photos this year, none actually. I miss photography and so I want to get back in the game again. My new co-workers have been excited to hear that I am a photographer ( I feel guilty to refer myself as such considering my resent lack of photos) and have been asking me to take photos of them and their children. I also have been booked by friends to take photos of all sort parties this spring and summer so I need to get back into photography.

I am travelling next week -hopefully- to Tunisia, in Northern Africa so I am really hoping I get my mojo back there. I was originally supposed to travel to Cypros but unfortenately the travel agent went bankrupt and our trip got canselled. Luckily we were able to buy a new trip and I don´t really mind the change of destination. I actually quite prefer it. I have never been to Tunisia before but I have visited Northern Africa couple of times and there is something magical about that part of the world for me, especially in ancient Egypt.

Well enough about me, what have you all been doing?

Woooo hoooo... welcome back :)

This is a beautiful image!! I love the patterns the frost makes. So glad to hear from you. You are such a busy lady...but it sounds all good. My son told me that Tunisia is one of his favorite places in the world he has visited. Will be looking forward to "seeing" you adventure. Sounds as though you need a good break. We got home from our winter trip south and have had lovely weather...which makes me feel a wee bit guilty, considering all the bitter cold and snow back east. But our rain is due back tomorrow, but i guess we need it. Nice to hear from you! Don't be a stranger!!

It is so good to hear from you, Suse! I have missed your photos. You sound so busy! I have to say that I would weigh 500 pounds if I had to each lunch with those people everyday! I hope you pick up your camera soon. You are an awesome photographer! Have a safe trip, and I hope to hear from you again soon :)
February 25th, 2015

February 26th, 2015
This is very beautiful, Suse. Welcome back and hope you can manage to stay on. If I worked there I would succumb to the cake temptations.
February 26th, 2015
@susale aw thank you :) I am really so excited yet a bit scared too cos it is so far away and a Long flight and never been on a cruise ship either :) But I am looking Forward to taking tons of pics

Lovely to hear from you again Suse, and I love the delicate patterns in the shot. I could particularly relate to your remarks about volunteer work, as I used to do a lot of that for animal rights--I would come home from work, sit down at my typewriter (this was pre-computers), and get up from it about 10 p.m. without having had dinner or anything. One does have to learn to pace one's self and that one cannot change the word alone or all at once; one can just make a little contribution perhaps. It sounds as if your new job has mixed blessings. I am enjoying retirement and loving photography more with each passing day, I think. I hope you really enjoy your trip and that it helps you regain your urge to make pictures of the world. Sometimes I look around me and think that there are millions of pictures waiting to be made, and they are changing ell the time. Hope you get back your joy in it, glad you are here again.

Lovely ….

This is a great example of ambiguity - it could be frost or ferns. I like how you've processed - it adds to the illusion.
So much going on in your life and so many positive things too - very pleased for you!
Hope you are enjoying Tunisia, looking forward to seeing your photos.
