Interesting silhouetted capture and like the title. This is one of the reasons why I love photography as it keep my attention in present moment when doing it.
It's not necessarily bad to use the past as a measuring stick, but it is not good to dwell on it- especially if it's something out your control that you can't physically change. And it's not necessarily bad to look toward the future as long as you don't become obsessed with fear of what might be and then never move forward at all. So yes, dwelling in the present is the best way to enjoy life at its fullest. I like the shot- even as a silhouette, I feel the figure is moving forward.
Powerful capture. I'm with you 100% that one should live in the now. Although there are times that you need to reflect on the past and look towards the future.
Wishing you a happy birthday
Love your thoughts. That is the way it is up to a certain age - then you start living for the day and when all the fun begins. Beautiful capture to go with your words.
Many happy returns of the day, Suse, I'm glad you enjoyed your celebrations.
Wise words and a lovely image to accompany them, poignant but I like the determined and purposeful look of the person's stride.
I'm nearly 62 and the present moment for me is the most important place to live. Can't change the past and the future seems even more uncertain as I grow older, so why waste precious living time dwelling on it?
