Great series of portraits, Suse and this one's my favourite. Love the way you've composed and used the mirror, Netta the reflection looks as if she is reflecting! I think the direction of her eyes and the fact that she is touching the hat would still have made me think it has something to do with her thoughts even had I not read about the significance of the hat.
It's a lovely, story-tellling portrait and a beautiful b&w. Fav.

This is one of my favorites too, the moment I saw the mirrow on the wall I got the idea of doing a pic like this and since Netta wanted to have a pic that would show the back of her dress also, I thought this would be a cool way to make that happen. I like the reflecting expression and it´s just that which makes this my favorite of all the mirrow shots even though this expression is not so much about graduation
