My get pushed challenge by @romeheather was back lit still life.

@susale Hi Suse, This is a very lovely image, I like it a lot. However, I want to clarify that I didn't suggest a backlit still life...I read on your profile that you'd already been suggested that in a previous push challenge. An 'intentional' still life, is where an arrangement or composition of objects (or as in this photo- substances) are intentionally combined and/or arranged/placed, generally with attention to lighting. This photo is very dynamic, has a lot of movement going on so it's a surprising but interesting interpretation of 'still life'.

@romeheather @kali66 Granted. I was thinking more of the backliting and less about the still life. I guess. I haven´t really enjoyed these challenged lately, so I have been really sloppy with my homework which is why I took myself off the list now.

@susale Often, when a challenge is assigned, people aren't as pleased with their final results which makes sense because they are being asked to do something that involves intent, rather than just finding or doing what they are most practised at, or attracted to. As I see it, the aspect of intention is about exploring and learning more what people CAN do, and what their cameras can do-,but, like so many other things we learn, the initial steps don't always produce results we're satisfied with. A drummer given a trumpet, or trumpet player given drumsticks won't be as easily pleased as they might be given their original instrument. However, that's very different than to say the drums or the trumpet are not good or worthwhile. Musicians can and do learn from trying other instruments. Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't like the push challenges recently and hope you return when you have time or desire to explore challenges.

@romeheather You are very right and in no way I ment to say that I didn´t appreaciate the challnege. It was a good challenge. I simply am not so in to the whole photography right now and I find it difficult to find time for photography. I guess now I am just getting boored with the whole project, heck I´ve been here since 2013 so I guess it´s about the time to move on..

Although I know what you mean about getting bored with challenges, 365, and photography in general, I do hope you can just take a bit of a break, post when you can and come back rejuvenated and revitalized.
You are a very talented photographer, and I for one would miss seeing your amazing shots.
BTW - love what you did with the back-lighting.
It's a FAV!

@farmreporter Thank you so much Wendy for your kind words, they mean a lot to me! People like you keep me going, you are truly a treasure :) Yes I think I am in a need of a break, life is pretty hectic now and have been so for a while. I am very fond with the people here in this page so it´s unlikely that I´ll leave for good but I do think it´s time to try something new though, maybe explore some other sites as well this one.

@susale Just remember to pop in once in a while!

@farmreporter I am not going anywhere, not just yet anyway :)

@susale I've been a member of the 'your shot' community run by National Geographic for a few years. They have optional assignments (at least one every 3 weeks) which are viewed by their editors which select entries for stories and a yearly book-it's free. They don't allow for much post processing but do have many members from all over the world.

I like the graphic quality of this shot (even though it appears to have no post-processing). I think it's all the shapes made by the bubbles. Sorry to hear that you are at a low photo point but it does happen to each of us at one time or another. I don't think there's one quick fix to it- each person has to decide what's best for them. But should you step out for a while, I'd understand AND miss your faithful comments!
