Snake!

This was slithering across our driveway and into the junipers. I almost missed it before it disappeared but was just snapping shots hoping that one was in focus. This was the last one!

@karlo57 Yes, it is non-venomous Black Rat Snake. It appears to be a young one - the pictures on the internet show much bigger snakes.

Oh wow! He's pretty with all that greenish black! We have a lot of thse red clay colored water moccasins. I saw one along the bank yesterday but did not post it yet....they are hard to get focused esp. In dim light. Mine is not this clear. I was scared he'd come get me for a moment as I took pics as he came towards me and went on by.....

Tara, this is an amazing capture in catching this snake in focus, as they move so fast. good detail, and I like how the surrounding greenery sort of frames the black snake!! Welcome Aboard! my daughter Tara in Vermont is also on the 365 program.....
