I think I can

I love the sprouts on ferns - how they unroll into these majestic leaves. I have 2 Macho Ferns that I put in my foyer and on my porch every year. I've been waiting for my Kroger (grocery store) to get some in and they did finally.
It looks like the fern has a hard task ahead of it. It is amazing how these plants unroll their frongs. Another miracle of nature.

Tara, I hesitate somewhat after your kind sentiments to mention this, but when I lived in Vermont , in the Spring these young fern sprouts, were a real delicacy, ( fiddle-heads) and were delicious sauteed in butter.....However great color and dimension in your presentation here!!

Love the larger leaves as background and then that one curly leaf on the one in the center. This is a fav for me. So beautiful!

@gennywren I agree about the miracles of nature. That's one thing that 365 has done for me is to become more aware of it.

@tonyjsisti Wow Tony that's interesting. I would never think to eat it. Thanks for your encouragement.

@tara11 I would not have thought to eat it either! Wow. The things I have learned on here. Did you know people eat that pokeweed stuff? I have pics of it back in Aug and Sept and wrote all about it...Elvis had a song " Pokeweed Annie." Or Poke salad annie...Yike! It looks poisonous. Okay..going to bed now. Lately, I have had "I am too keyed up to sleep" at night but am sleepy during the day. Ugh.
