Interesting "abstract" Tara. I'd frame it and put it on the wall!
Genny and Tara, I've found that a good way to ease away from auto without going full manual is to play with aperature or speed priority. You decide what's most important; fast time or greater depth of field, and let the camera figure the rest. You'll be full manual in no time!
@alwyn255 Thanks Alwyn. I was shooting a picture of what looked like grapes on one of my trees. I sent my son to investigate (since it was raining :)) and said it looked like a fungus. But, I liked the effect in my "abstract".
