Slow shutter speed + unsteady hands = abstract shot

During the rain today, I was playing around with the settings while taking different shots. Really trying to understand what I'm doing :)
I like the wavy effect, It does give it a painting look. Keep experimenting! :-)

@anzere03 Thanks for the encouragement and stopping by! It made me think of an oil painting, as well.

Great result. You are braver than me I still only use the auto.

@ljm @gennywren Thanks ladies, it's been fun since I never know what I'm going to find when I upload. Mostly, Genny, I'm still on auto . . . :)

Interesting "abstract" Tara. I'd frame it and put it on the wall!
Genny and Tara, I've found that a good way to ease away from auto without going full manual is to play with aperature or speed priority. You decide what's most important; fast time or greater depth of field, and let the camera figure the rest. You'll be full manual in no time!

A good reason to get off auto. Great composition with the touch of red.

Well done!...Laura shots Picassos, and you do Rembrandts, I like the tailored effect, nice one!

@alwyn255 Thanks Alwyn. I was shooting a picture of what looked like grapes on one of my trees. I sent my son to investigate (since it was raining :)) and said it looked like a fungus. But, I liked the effect in my "abstract".
