I was following another bird into the Persimmon Tree when I noticed these Waxwings all over eating the berries. I hope to get a more clear picture now that I know that they are here.
Oh! So glad to see this. I made a Cedar Waxwing quilt once. Wanted to make a gift for a teacher who was a bird lover and had my son ask what her favorite bird was. Not the answer I expected, but I learned a lot. Typical Montessori experience...

They blow through, spring and fall, for just a few days. They eat blossoms off the pear trees in spring. We had one get stunned after hitting window once and I got to hold it for a bit. I was the one that was stunned after seeing it up close. Just beautiful! I like the pose you caught!
