I drove up to our neighborhood lake, inspired by Vee @vskolnik, to try and capture some of the hawks and other large birds that sometimes fly around there. As soon as I walked up to the lake, these 2 geese were hanging out in the middle of the lake appearing to be standing on it. I barely had time to pull out my camera and fire a shot, it was on total auto. I tried working on my settings quickly, but they swam off. Anyway, I didn't crop too much so that it would be kind of clear. If you look real close, you'll see a Blue Herron in the background. I did NOT see him until I uploaded the photo :( I wish that I had since I would have watched him for a good shot. I'll just have to go back! As Scarlet O'Hara said - "After all... tomorrow is another day."

I'm thankful for my family and especially today when my sons and husband played football by the lake while I walked around and took pictures.
