Feathery Redhead by tara11

Feathery Redhead

This beautiful bird has taken up residence in our backyard and I see him almost daily now. He'll even feed on our bird feeder! I edited this a little since it wasn't very clear, but the color is exactly how it was. The red is magnificent!
lucky you... not many colourful birds in Victoria this time of year (although we do have pelicans, a first for Victoria).

@cameronknowlton Great capture Tara.....I love the markings & color of this bird. It's snowing here so everything looks even brighter on the white background!

@debihas27 Me too Debi. His red head is so bright and then the stripes on his back - a beautiful bird! Thanks for taking a look!

@gennywren Thank you Genny. We back up to the Chattahoochee National Forest so we are blessed with lots of wildlife.

@canoninholster Yep! I've captured him a couple of times and he is starting to be a regular. I would like to put one up - I just haven't found a good spot that I can easily access. This is off of my back deck which is about 2 1/2 stories up. I'm going to keep looking though. Thanks for commenting!
