I got 2 shots of this guy/gal today. I was at my sink and he/she landed on my table. I raced to get my camera and was only able to get 2 shots through my window before he/she flew off.
So, you may have guessed that I'm not sure what kind of bird. I'm thinking Yellow Warbler and possibly female because they are a pretty bright yellow. The beak and color matches but not sure otherwise.
I'm going to have this count for me-march because I love to listen to to the birds outside. I also listen to worship music, my 70's and 80's rock n roll, my children and husband laughing, are just a few some other things that I like to listen to.
Great detail for an on the fly shot! No pun intended! I know the frustration of seeing a shot getting the camera and having the shot fly away before you can turn everything on! Well done!
The one is a Nuthatch, the other is probably the warbler- only I think it's a male. They are usually the brighter ones. I apologize for not having enough time to go look at my bird book!
This is gorgeous! I love the angle you caught her at....with the tail all flared out in the sunlight, and looking up at mean old Mr. Nut Hatch. Sweet bird! Not sure what it is either! fav for me! I called you the other Monday I had off (furlough) at the last minute to see if you could go to lunch. Could not get you. We need to put a date on the calendar! It would be cool to find somewhere with a patio!
