He kind of looks like a mini Dragonfly up close, but I have no idea what this is. Just trying to channel MaryBeth @espyetta and shoot some more insects. He's about 1 inch in length and hanging out on a window screen. The little specs all over the screen are pollen! It's really bad around the south right now.
Oooh feel sorry for anyone suffering from hayfever in your part of the world then - that's a lot of pollen to be floating around! Lovely detail on the insect, beautiful lacey wings.
@m9f9l yep! I was going to tell her, but see out already did. I have one of their funky eggs! Each egg is on a long hairlike stalk...and they line them up on a leaf or blade of grass.
Very pretty for the bug world! Glad to see someone else identified it before I had to go thumbing through my bug book (some of those bugs are pretty creepy! hehe). Something's in the air up here too- probably spores or molds since we're in the forest. I've been battling a stuffy nose for a few days now thanks to whatever it is. Good shot- great detail.
