Finally, the finches found my feeder! This is the female. I didn't have the correct lens on but cropped the shot to give you perspective. I bought a shepherd's hook hanger and on one side is the strawberry plant and the other I hung the feeder. Once they come regularly, I hope to hang it back by my window.
I have the same shepherd's hook in my back yard, but the only thing hanging is the bird house (with 6 chickadee eggs and mom inside!). This is a lovely finch! We had house finches in the cherry tree all spring, and they are gorgeous. I've only seen a yellow finch once so far! Your strawberry plant looks wonderful.

I have it right outside a bedroom window - they keep it busy! You can sit right there and shoot away. The finches are such fun to watch fuss with each other. You're going to have fun! Nice start.
LOL.. just wait!!!! if two find it 30 will.. They are called a Charm of Goldfinches... I counted 14 in one platform feeder this weekend.. The song is so sweet!! yeah!! I hope you get to be charmed!!
