Here's my little Bluebird attacking our windows. Apparently, he sees his reflection in the window and is attacking the "other bird". At first is what cute . . . now I just hear continuous thumps during the day.

A couple of years ago, I caught a bird on video doing attacking its reflection on my window, trying to defend its territory. I didn't want it injuring itself by constantly body slamming the window. It did that for a few days. Someone told me to have something at the window to scare it off, like a picture of an owl. It worked.
@juliac Good advice. He was originally at my office window, so I put some paper up to try and deter it. It worked, except that it went to our window over our front door (in the picture) In my office, I could scare him by walking up to the window - not the case with this one. You have to reach it with a ladder! If he's still there when we get home, I'll try your suggestion.
