So, all of the evil forces were conspiring against me. I've seen 3 bucks in the last 2 days and have never been a position to take a picture of one until this evening when my son came in and said come now! So, I knew that a buck was in our yard and this time, he was even laying down! I raced to get my camera and sneak outside and sure enough he is resting in my side yard. But, there is also a skiddish doe with him, and then there's my neighbors dog who barks at me when I'm in my yard and now here comes the mail truck just when I get into position to take a shot . . . she pulls up to my mailbox, scares the doe and off they run. I'm not giving up though, he didn't run far and just when I spot him - yes, another distraction, UPS stops by with a package! Anyway, I finally get a little closer but he's right in between 2 trees and it's dusk (perfect conditions, right?!) Anyway, here's my shot. I believe that he's a 10 pointer - the biggest one I've seen.
All in all, it was a fun adventure. I hope to get a nice shot while they're around . . .
