"Morning Hayride"...

this farmer has left 13 head of cattle on Police Paddocks island..on the other side of the river..it's a 1000 acre island in the Murray river where the police in the 1880's would turn out their horses for a spell.....the farmer is trying to get his cattle back to the Victoria side by bribing them with some nice fresh hay sprinkled with molasses...they ate the hay but are still there....time for plan B...
Cattle are not silly, they think they may get some more hay & Molasses tomorrow... nice shot..

Wonderful capture & tale, Don't know what I like most about this lovely picture but I think it's that huge tree with wonderful texture.

What a hoot! I suppose there's always the possibility that one or more cows will be voted off the island--until then,...Plan B!

Great shot and story John. As everyone has pointed out, the cattle weren't stupid John. They were heading north - a long way north!!!
