Let me tell you a story....
We are cruising along, having just left Isle of Pines when an announcement comes over that we have recieved a distress call from a yacht grounded on a reef and as we are the closest boat, we must go to their assistance. The Pacific Pearl crew lower a lifeboat and head off to a little island on the horizon. They successfully navigate the reef and bring back 5 German sailors who are mighty happy to be safe but I imagine will have some explaining to do to the insurance company for the yacht. A boat comes out from Noumea some hours later and the 5 are transferred to it for their journey back to Noumea.
The moral of this story; be safe around reefs kids.
