Snail shell

Nothing lives here now. The slug has gone onto a newer, bigger home and left his shell for a new tenant. I love the shape of snail shells. Hate it when they crunch underfoot though.

This is very beautiful close up. I agree about the crunching, especially in bare feet, eeeew !
