A white stemmed gum moth caterpillar. I googled and found out that once into a moth, this poor thing will only live a few days. During that time, they mate & lay eggs and don’t eat because they are unable to. They can grow as a moth to 16cm wide and be mistaken for a bat. Very cool discovery.
Super find. The inability to eat is not unusual in moths, their single aim is to go forth & multiply. Some females don't have wings either. They eclose (emerge) a male finds them, they mate, she lays her eggs & dies. Your caterpillar is beautiful.
